Pang Si Da National Park

We believe that a nation is as good as its natural resources and environments. Without them, people who live in that nation will certainly have a difficult time to prosper. To conserve nature, we should start all at the same time, preserve and increase our forest area, preserve and increase wildlife herds, find solutions so that man and nature and coexist in harmony.
Allied Chemical International’s philosophy on CSR is to work on projects that central government does not have enough resources to fund but at the same time local staffs are more than willing to dedicate themselves toward conservation of nature.
Kuiburi was selected because it is the only park that we know, where park rangers, local villagers, government bureaucrats, police and military work together toward preservation harmoniously and at the same time it is grossly under budget.
Pang Si Da was selected because its chief superintendent is well known for conservation through working harmoniously with local people from all walks of life. (He was former park superintendent at Kuiburi and was the one who had championed harmonious cooperation between people from all walks of life.)
The terrain and wildlife distribution at Kuiburi and Pang Si Da are very different. Kuiburi has large herds of elephants, gaurs, monkeys … etc., while Pang Si Da has more scattered wildlife and is one of the few parks in Thailand that has Siamese Fresh Water Crocodiles.
The nature of waterholes are different, Kuiburi had large size waterholes, large enough to accommodate a few full grown elephants, while those in Pang Si Da, is large enough for wildlife to quench their thirsts.
Kuiburi donation is straight forward, just transfer enough funds for building of large waterholes. However, at Pang Si Da, it’s very different, we donated one ton IBC tanks, portable water pump with hose, and funds for building small make shift waterholes because the drought that we are facing this year 2016 is very severe and we have to address water issues as quickly as possible.
